A couple of lines about us: We are Emanuele and Hoang, the former from Italy, the latter from Vietnam. We are the founders of a food tour company born in September 2015. We have been living in this beautiful city for a few years. We love food and cooking, we have a food blog where we share Italian, Vietnamese and Dutch recipes with our followers. We try to avoid the crowds and if we have to choose between beautiful and real, we always choose real. We are both non-Dutch and we both came to love this city. We started our journey by wanting to deeply understand this city and its citizens. Amsterdam is a melting pot of over 170 nationalities, and yet it maintains a lot of its original traits. The story behind our company goes back a few months. Travelling cities around Europe we realized we wanted to share our passion for the city we live in: Amsterdam. Dutch food may not have the complexity of some other European cuisines but has got more to offer than most people think when visiting this magnificent capital city. There is no better way to learn about the history and culture of a city than to eat its food, in its local places. You may have come to Amsterdam to see Ann Frank House, the Van Gogh museum etc. We understand that. However we want to give the chance to see the city from someone that lives the city. The food tour is our chance to show you the real street food of this city, in a very relaxed environment.
