I'm originally from Boston and have been living in NYC since 2001. I currently live in the neighborhood of Astoria, in Queens. Astoria is known for its Greek population and amazing Greek restaurants. I work as a Research Analyst for a large consulting firm located in Rockefeller Center. Besides cooking and entertaining, in my free time I enjoy gardening, hiking, foreign travel/film/language, billiards, modern art, photography, birding, and participating in events that are somewhat 'quirky' or 'odd'. ;-)

NOTE: Tickets for this event are being sold via multiple platforms: as of June 8, three tickets have been sold. Eight attendee maximum in total. I am very excited to be holding my upcoming event at OK Cafe, my absolute favorite coffeeshop in all of Astoria! I will be hosting a Dine & Learn Workshop on how to make healthy drinks/soups/sorbets using a high-speed blender, and how to grow sprouts, in your own home. The event will start-off with a talk on how to grow sprouts, and with no special equipment being essential (though I will be demonstrating with a basic sprouting 'kit')! This workshop will also include examples of just how easy it is to make healthy drinks, soups and sorbets using a high-speed blender. I'll also talk about the many other healthy foods you can make with such an appliance. Ticket price includes meal as outlined below. After the event, all attendees will receive a follow-up email with sourcing details and informational videos, so that you can get started on your own! Another great reason to come out to Astoria and get to know the charming OK Cafe (the venue for my event)?? Afterwards, you may want to visit 'The Last Word', a really cool 'speakeasy' (secret bar) located inside a fake hardware store, just one block away from OK Cafe! ;-) Maximum # of attendees (from all platforms where this event is advertised): 8 And...thank you!!
