About me

☆About Mayuko...☆ Mayuko is the main host. She grew up in Choshi city, which has one of the biggest harvests of fresh fish in Japan. And she has been affected by her mother who was a professional cooking teacher. After she moved to Tokyo 13 years ago, she started to cook in earnest for herself and her family. After she graduated from university, she worked for one of the biggest natural cosmetic companies as a sub manager in Tokyo for 5 years. While she was there she luckily had many heartwarming experiences in home kitchens overseas. Gradually she started to think she wanted to give the opportunity for foreign visitors to experience authentic local culture. So she decided to open a little cooking school to share homestyle food. In October 2014, she had the chance to teach Japanese homestyle cooking to high school students in QLD, Australia while travelling and she was also introduced in a local paper. You know, food is her love and her passion. She also loves to try new things, talk to people, travel, practice yoga, work out, read books, and listen to reggae music:)

Japanese Homestyle Cooking in Tokyo!

0 guests went on this tour

We offer you what Japanese people really eat as an everyday meal in a little private kitchen in the middle of Tokyo with a friendly atmosphere. Have you ever tried authentic cuisine, home cooked by a local, while staying or travelling overseas? Food in restaurants and what locals eat are different in terms of menu, preparation, atmosphere, etc. Both have good aspects, but experiencing what locals really eat at home will give you something different you will never have in restaurants. As a result of our experience of travelling overseas and sampling many meals home cooked by locals, we have decided to teach what Japanese locals really eat at home, and to do so in a very friendly atmosphere. Our kitchen is not big, but we offer you authentic Japanese homestyle cooking. Please make yourself at home!
